The

The
Training
Bridges can be built to one another and to the world about
us through fostering the emergence of the true Self within the
life of the Soul.
The
Training is structured in 7 residential long-weekend modules
over 13 months. It is designed for people interested in developing
the skills required to facilitate Oasis support groups. The
content of the training will cover the type of activities used
in Oasis groups (see below) and include training in Conscious
Relations, communication and listening skills, psycho-spiritual
and psycho-social psychology, talks, presentations, self development
and training exercises, and creative work (including painting,
pastel and clay work, and creative writing). Pilot studies are
encouraged during the course of the Training. Participants are
mentored and assessed by members of the faculty.
About
the Oasis Support Groups
Oases of group support can be created to meet the yearning
of human souls to find purpose, meaning and value in life experience,
when met with a healing will, in community with others.
These
groups were initially developed to create a health promoting
setting for people experiencing long-term health concerns and
life crisis. Oasis has a structured curriculum that include
biographical and self-development work, conversation, creative
exercises, e.g., painting, pastel, clay, and creative writing.
There are 3 Pathways of 12 weeks each to the programme over
the course of one year.
Oasis
can successfully work in different settings; the curriculum
is transferable to a wide range of needs. These groups have
historically been located alongside established anthroposophical
NHS Medical Practices and have offered health-promoting tools
for self-development as part of a transformational journey.
They have incorporated an anthroposophic integrated approach
to medical and therapeutic work.
Oasis
Facilitators Association (OFA)
OFA is a Membership Association for participants who are undergoing
or who have graduated from the Bridges-to-Oasis Training. It
offers an informational newsletter and is looking at how to
support and further the work of its members. There will be a
Michaelmas Building Bridges retreat on 31st September - 2nd
October 2011 for continuing personal and professional development
(CPPD).
For further information, please email
Lindsay Garner (OFA Secretary).
The
